Full-Time MBA: Two-Year
Our Full-Time Two-Year curriculum is purposefully aligned to put you at an advantage. Our combination of core and elective courses in the first year, gives you the ability to be more prepared while engaging with corporate recruiters during your internship and career search. After completing the first set of core courses during the fall semester, you are immediately able to begin choosing electives and charting your career path.
This program provides the true immersion experience. As a Two-Year student, you will have the opportunity to focus entirely on your MBA experience, while involving yourself in student leadership roles, gaining valuable experience through a summer internship and expanding your peer network and professional horizons. The Two-Year path provides students who may be considering a career change after earning their MBA with the opportunity to gain experience in their future area of interest first-hand.
The Full-Time Two-Year program is ideal for candidates who have strong professional and academic backgrounds and are interested in taking advantage of all UF MBA has to offer.
The two-year program offers two major advantages: the opportunity to secure a competitive corporate internship and the chance to completely immerse yourself in the UF MBA experience.
During the first year, students enroll in 12 required business classes and 3 electives, which will provide a solid foundation of functional business skills. Students jump into electives during year one, furthering their knowledge of chosen specializations, which gives them the edge during fall recruiting events and interviewing activities. Graduate course descriptions provide more information on these courses. Students will complete 3 to 4 courses per module.

In the second year, students select 6 elective courses and complete remaining core business requirements. Electives enable students to further expand their studies in one of our 5 career-focused areas of concentration offered by the Hough Graduate School of Business. Students typically take 2 to 3 courses per module, leaving plenty of time for job search activities.

**Student laptop computers must meet or exceed the hardware and software computer requirements as set by the Warrington College of Business. Cost estimates assume the purchase of a new computer, which will vary according to vendor and final purchase specifications as selected by the student.

Orientation is a required program that includes a Business Boot Camp, and takes place before classes begin. Orientation is a critical part of the MBA experience that introduces you to the key areas of our program that are vital to your success inside and outside the classroom. Business Boot Camp covers three academic areas—Accounting, Business Mathematics and Excel—to give a foundation of knowledge and provide a level of confidence when you step into the MBA classroom. You will meet your classmates, teammates, faculty, advisors and staff. Additionally, you will learn about the culture and traditions that make UF MBA great!
What to expect
- We kick off with an informal breakfast and welcome from our staff, faculty and current students.
- On Academic Day, we cover the curriculum, case study methodology, faculty expectations and training on our technology interfaces.
- During Career Development Day, you will be introduced to our career development process, and hear from corporate partners on what they're looking for from a UF MBA graduate.
- The Challenge Course Day is everyone's favorite. Cohorts really get to know each other while working together on the campus challenge course.
- Networking events include a reception, activities hosted by our current UF MBA students and a panel discussion and luncheon with alumni.
Please plan to participate in Orientation activities during business hours each day and during the evenings of Monday and Friday. Spouses and partners are welcome to the networking event on Friday night.
